Write down all the related key words you find on your notepad and as you make entries in your Blog weave these words into your entries. Over the next few weeks, when you do entries work these keywords into your posts. Repeat them. Yes, repeat them. Repeat them and often. When the search engine surfer comes to your Blog looking for an mp3 player he is not going to set there for the most part and read your posts. He is going to go for the links that lead to mp3 player. Therefore, what you really need to keep in your mind is getting him there.

The quality of Search Engine Traffic is high. Although at first you will not get a large quantity of traffic from Search Engines the traffic the quality of the traffic you do get is very high.

When you get your Blog up on the web, there are three places you need to submit it to. The two major search engines Google, Yahoo, and BLOGGERNITY.COM, which is a Blog Directory. Hand Submit your Blog to these three places. Once BLOGGERNITY listed your Blog, go there and vote for yourself. Sign up there for a free account and write a review of your Blog. It does not have to be anything fancy. Just write how you want the surfer to feel about and see your Blog.

Make a list of the other Blogs at BLOGGERNITY and contact the owners of those sites (as many as you can). Write them a short email and ask them to do a link exchange with you. Most of them will.

Google's Adsense

Let us start with the infamous Adsense Program. This program is an automated ad service that allows small web owners to display advertisements on their own web pages in return they will receive a portion or a share of the pay-per-click revenue that Google will generate out from the Adsense. This is an additional income for web owners.

Google's adsense in one view may seem to be a simple concept but behind it is a complicated technology that only the smartest and the brightest team of Google can effectively accomplished. The adsense program is wholly automated and makes use of a crawler that assesses the contents found on a publisher's site. After the evaluation is complete Google will then provide the publisher with some Javascript code to embed in their pages.

2.  Selling your services.  Whether you're proficient with writing, graphic design, web design, programming, and the likes, you will always find some clients for what you could offer.  Remember, the internet opens the way to a global market.  Yes, the entire world is a well of potential clients!  If you can do what they need to be done, then rest assured that you'll be in business for a long, long time.

3.  Selling your own tangible products.  You could sell some physical goods online.  Whether they're something that you create yourself, or something that you have bought from suppliers and you wish to trade for a higher price, the internet will forever be a channel where you could peddle your goods to a worldwide market.  You could sell them through your own website, or through some established auctions sites like www.ebay.com , where millions of dollars exchange hands every single day without fail.

4.  Selling information products.  I could discuss this forever, and I will never be able to convey the amazing potentials of this option.  The internet is called the information superhighway for a reason.  It's because information fuels the various processes online.  If you have information that other people would need, then you'll be doing good – nay – great business.  And the fact that information is cost-effective to create into distributable form, and the fact that information can easily be distributed through online channels, makes this very commodity the most lucrative product for an online undertaking.

5.  Pay Per Click (PPC) marketing.  With the advent of Google AdSense, the online world changed.  Many even attribute the web's fantastic recovery from the dot com bubble burst early into the millennium to the introduction of PPC programs, led by Google's moneymaking offer.  Today, a lot of webmasters create hundreds upon hundreds of websites, EACH, with all of them imbued with the PPC code that earn as much as $25,000 in earnings per month.  But don't be misled by such a high end statistic, as such is quite rare and is reserved for the best and most experienced PPC veterans.  $400 to $4,000 would be a more realistic goal when it comes to this opportunity.

6.  Affiliate programs.  Many claim that affiliate programs are the quickest and most efficient way of making a living online, and it's true.  There are no enrollment expenses, and you won't have to take care of processing payments, providing technical support, and delivering the products that must be sold.  All you have to do is to pre-sell an affiliate merchant's products and you'd stand to earn the most generous commissions possible, in the range of 20% to 95% per sale. 

The last three options are perhaps the most profitable opportunities available for you.  They, together with the other options discussed in the previous lesson, will be discussed in full details in the coming days.  But most of our focus would revolve around these three opportunities, as I believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that they are the best choices towards online prominence and prosperity.

There are other options, of course, like product creation, resale rights marketing, joint ventures and the likes, but they are merely incidental to the above.

You better make sure your advertisement clicks cost you less than $0.25 to at least break even.

- Your Own Web Site:

That's it, you should create your own web site!!

To be honest with you, I think you should. But there will be several major issues you will have to deal with. For example: How will you create a web site that not only sells products like crazy but will also attract visitors.

Owning a web site is one thing, owning a web site that makes you a lot of money is a totally different matter. You will need to find a subject for your web site, products which you would like to sell, information to place on your web site, and most important you will have to find ways to attract those visitors.

So, before you start your own web site, make sure to find all sorts of information either free or paid. You will have to do a lot of studying before you'll have what it takes to build a money making web site.

When you are willing to do the necessary work needed to become successful online then the options mentioned previously are both very successful ways to create those massive paychecks. Keep in mind though, you will have to learn the tricks of the trade and pay your dues like all of us. Otherwise you might just as well fall for another one of those quick rich schemes.

It's a very odd phenomenon, the fundamentals of business are so simple and yet the failure rates of business continue to disappoint at well over 50% - looking even more dismal the longer you track a business from its inception.

On a more specific level, I have had a great deal of experience in the information product marketing business segment both offline and online and see marked differences between those who struggle with this business and those who take off and never look back.

One of the biggest factors differentiating the hobbyists from the real big money earners in the information marketing business is the degree to which the entrepreneurs look at their ventures as  end-to-end businesses versus businesses that are based on a single event (website developed, ebook written, affiliate marketing site created, etc...)

Once you begin to look at the various facets of your information product marketing business, it becomes obvious that there are many skills required to carry out all functions of your plan.

It's likely that you are better at 1 or 2 of these, perhaps being able to perform all functions, but not to quite the same level.  Considering the information marketing business and your role within that business is a critical factor toward your results.

So, let's look at the skills required for your business.

1. PLANNING & STRATEGY:  Over and over again I've tried to drive home the importance of coming up with a business plan for your information marketing business.  Starting with a 3-5 year goal and working backward is a great way to chart a course making your journey more certain.  For someone who loves to take action, this stage can be a little daunting.  Realize however that it must be done, if you struggle with business planning, then hook up with someone who has been through the process before - you may even find such a person at your local entrepreneur or mentoring program offered by Entrepreneur centers in many towns and cities.

2. RESEARCH AND TESTING:  A critical, often underestimated set of skills important to the success of your information product is the ability to research a market for opportunities and test your market, ideas and topics for signs of existing demand and spending activity. People who have great skill at tapping into opportunities in a market often are curious by nature, good listeners, have a good ability to relate concepts to one another and generally are good investigators.

3. JOURNALIST SKILLS:  Closely linked to research and testing, a journalist combines the skills of uncovering the the few "in depth" questions that your market really wants to know, networking skills, a very powerful knack for asking questions, a true passion for their topic and a good ability to write or edit their work to bring out the most important points.

4. PRODUCT CREATION SKILLS:  Product creation is really about understanding the format(s) that best suite the material you will be marketing to your customers and being able to quickly and efficiently package that material in written, audio, video or in real-time seminar formats.  Remember, we are trying to find your idea skills.  We can all master each of these tasks if we are given enough time and teaching, but what you want to do here is give an honest opinion of your current strengths.  For example, if you were an expert at packaging audio and video products, then it would make more sense having someone else plan your business and generate the content, while you can focus on your strength of packaging products behind the scenes.

5. MARKETING SKILLS:  I've split marketing skills into two large sub-groups, skills that require behind the scenes work and skills that involve outbound and relationship management activities.  For example, you could be quite good at creating press releases, marketing plans, written articles and interviews, blogging, etc...these are all examples of behind-the-scenes marketing typically enjoyed by people who like to work alone, have more control over their environment and perhaps are more on the introverted side.  Alternatively, marketing skills such as networking, public speaking, team building and leadership lead to more successful outbound and relationship marketing.  Both are required to raise your business to the high-achiever ranks, few people are experts in both of these areas.

Bet you didn't realize there were so many skills required to operate your own super-profitable information product marketing business did you?

No wonder you get overwhelmed by the sheer effort all of this requires.  A couple of these skills may allow you to perform that part of your business in your sleep, while other factors mean you take four-times longer than an expert to accomplish the same task.

Its no wonder that most people hit roadblocks along the way.  Even if you master each of these areas enough to get your first product out the door, can you really scale your business success to where you want while doing all of this yourself?

SUCCESS FACTOR 2: Know Your Big WHY!  Once you have decided on your targets, ask yourself why you have set each target.  Its a good idea to write down each of your targets and beside each one write 1-3 reasons that really hit you emotionally as to why you want to achieve those goals.  You will need to draw on these higher purposes many times as you build your business - eventually it will become automatically engrained and you won't have to think about them.  In the beginning though, you need to really dig deep to find the big WHY and refer back often.

SUCCESS FACTOR 3: Fearless Against Failure. Even though I practice this principle regularly, I still am amazed at how fearlessly information product publishing top guns are at trying new things, changing their direction, renewing their business, testing their actions.  The real secret is to fail often and fail big, from each failure comes an insider's understanding that eclipses what anyone else in the market knows.  By failing bigger and more often than the rest of your market, you will gain a huge advantage over your competition who will not be able to keep up with you.

SUCCESS FACTOR 4: Think For Yourself. If you look to the top 2% of successes within any business, they get there by leading, not by following. Be creative, do not only rely on other people's information to build your business.  Standing out from the crowd, being a leader means by definition that nobody else has done what you aspire to - so why look to someone else for all the answers?  Mentors are good - they help steer you in the right direction and help fill in the blanks, but you must think beyond current methods and knowledge to create your own path

As you move through a web site and select things and make choices, what keeps you from having to reenter or reselect that information as you load each page? Usually the answer is a cookie. A cookie can be used by the web server to keep track of you as a user so that as you navigate from page A to page B, the web server knows it's you and the developer of the web site can reference those items stored in your cookie to maintain a stateful experience for your session or visit to the web site.

Occasionally, you may want or need to delete your cookies.

You can delete your cookies a few ways. Most web browsers (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, FireFox, Opera,

etc.) have different ways to do this, so consult the help for your browser on how to delete the cache files and cookies. There are also several software packages to clean your PC and these packages also delete cookies.

Using cookies improves your user experience when browsing the Internet. Is there a security risk or danger to cookies? It's like losing your wallet. Losing your money isn't so bad, but all that time getting new ID, credit cards, and other important papers is aggravating. On your computer there is a lot of data we take for granted every day.

Documents we have created, music we have downloaded, pictures we have saved, and so much more. Most people know its wise to back up those items onto a CD-ROM or onto storage space somewhere on the web, but what are some of the other things you should be backing up?

Do you allow cookies to be stored on your computer to remember your login information for websites that you visit a lot? Then you also need to find the "cookies" folder on your computer and back that up as well. In Windows 98 its in C:\windows\cookies. In Windows XP, its in C:\documents and settings\username\cookies.

Do you know all of your passwords by heart? Do you use a program to manage passwords? If you use a program, find it, probably in program files, and back up the files inside that folder that related to your saved password files. If you ever have to reinstall that program you can re-add those files into the new folder and have all of your old password files.

If you do not use a program, you need to have a system of recovering those passwords if your computer ever quits on you. If you do not have one, create one and add all of your new passwords you create to it. Don't put it in your wallet.

Hit F3 on your computer and select search for files on C Drive. Type in (*).PWL(*) without the parenthesis. It's the asterisk dot pwl asterisk with no spaces. Hit search and windows will find all of the password files for you. To find them manually, check C:\windows. Back up those files if you want your computer logins to remain the same.

What about your email? Not just the saved email, but the entire folder structure you spent time creating, your address book, and your account information with all of the right settings to send and receive email. You will want to back these up whenever you do all of your other backups.

First, how to backup all of the email and folder structure in Outlook Express. Open Outlook Express. Go to tools, options, maintenance. There will be a button there that says "store folder". Click on that. Highlight the entire path that comes up in the little text box. Now hit cancel and cancel to close all popups.

Click on "start" in your task bar. Go to run. Paste the path you just copied into the text box and hit enter. A folder will open. Go to edit, select all, then go to edit again and select "copy". Now close that folder. Right click on your computer desktop, select new, folder.Rename that folder "mailbackup". Open that folder. Go to edit, paste.

Leave that folder open so you can backup your mail account settings and information. Now go back to Outlook Express. Go to tools, accounts, mail. You will do the following for each mail account you have. Highlight one account, Click Export. Browse to where the mailbackup file is on your desktop and export it into there. Once you do that with each account, you can cancel out of the open dialog boxes.

Now, for your address book. Go to Outlook Express one more time. Go to export. Choose address book. Choose text file. Browse again to the mailbackup folder and export it to there.

Now using winzip or other file compression utility, you can zip the mailbackup folder up and back it up to CD-ROM or to an online storage place. Make a schedule of backing these things I have included in the article. Consider it insurance against a hard drive crash. Believe me, if you use the web a lot, you'd almost rather lose your wallet than lose all of your computer data.
